The Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) showcased the country’s readiness to welcome Indonesian tourists at the Astindo Hybrid Travel Fair 2022, held from September 1-4, 2022, at PIK Avenue Mall, North Jakarta.
“The Philippines reopened its borders to international travelers on February 10, 2022. This was followed by the removal of the pre-departure COVID-19 test requirement for fully vaccinated passengers on May 30, 2022. Since the border reopening, from February to August 7, 2022, the Department of Tourism (DOT) recorded 1.1 million international tourist arrivals,” said Buena Carla F. Zaldivia, Route Development Head and Market Development Head for Indonesia, on Sunday (September 5, 2022), in Jakarta.
